Safety

The counterbalance gate is our standard design of pallet gate. Some manufacturers may offer a sliding or trombone type of gate. These are considered by Health and Safety as unsuitable so we will never offer one.

When a pallet is to be raised to the floor the gate is opened to accept the pallet. In this position the rear of the gate creates a barrier between the open edge and the mezzanine floor.

Once the pallet has been put onto the floor the gate is closed allowing the pallet to be retrieved. In this position the front of the gate acts as the barrier to prevent any persons from falling to the floor.

The video below demonstrates the gate in operation.

Handrail netting A nylon net is fixed to the mezzanine handrail by cable ties and is stretched to the mezzanine floor and fixed by a clamp. This prevents product from falling through gap between the handrails. The handrail can be extended so that the netting can be set at any height.
