Project management includes:

  • Helping establish the budget and setting the project programme
  • Advising on appropriate procurement strategies
  • Production of tender documents
  • Ensuring that the project runs smoothly, on time and within budget
  • Ensuring all necessary building control regulations are obtained and adhered to
  • Passing instructions onto contractors and ensuring that these are followed
  • Supervision of work to ensure that it is carried out to the required standards

As Principal Contractor we would, for the CDM (Construction Design and Management) regs:

  • provide input to the Health-and-Safety Plan
  • ensure co-operation between all contractors with respect to health and safety
  • ensure that everyone complies with the Health-and-Safety Plan
  • allow only authorised persons access to the site
  • provide the planning supervisor with information pertinent to the Health-and-Safety File
  • provide comprehensive information on the risks to health and safety to all employees of every contractor and provide appropriate information and training for the same
  • offer advice to employees and the self employed on health and safety issues .
