Flooring

There are many different types of flooring available and which one you choose depends upon the application and budget but we can assist in making the correct choice.

Vinyl weldFor toilets, washrooms and canteens vinyl weld cap and cove flooring is the popular choice. This safety flooring is a flexible PVC sheet in 2 and 2.5mm thickness, containing silicon carbide, coloured quartz and aluminium oxide granules to impart enhanced slip resistance.

The quality of the finished installation can depend upon the preparation of the subfloor. This why we always apply a 3mm thick self levelling smoothing latex to a concrete floor prior to the floor installation.

This floor should have the seams welded as it prevents ingress of dirt and bacteria into seams and provides a floor surface which is impermeable to water. This process employs the technique of heating both the vinyl flooring and the vinyl welding rod to a suffıcient temperature to melt and fuse them together. Where the vinyl meets a wall it is usually self-coved up the wall or a set-in coved skirting is used which can be welded to the flooring.

Ceramic floor tileCeramic tile flooring is extremely hard wearing and is popular for reception areas. The colours are typically muted stone tones. Some tiles have a slightly gritted texture, offering slip resistance.

In addition we can supply and fit from a comprehensive choice of carpet options and laminate flooring.
