Drive In Racking

Drive in racking Using minimal space for access aisles and lanes Drive In racking provides a high-density and very space efficient bulk storage system.  It is frequently used for storage of palletised loads which cannot be self stacked due to load crushing or load instability which are delivered or despatched in batches.

The pallets are stored in a  continuous block not divided by aisles. The system operates as a last in first out so stock selectivity is restricted.

The pallets are stored on cantilevered rails running the full depth of the racking and forklift trucks drive into the lanes to retrieve or deposit the pallets.

  • High density storage
  • Greater number of pallets stored per cubic metre than with any other storage system
  • Can safely accomodate overhanging loads within the narrow lanes
  • Low access speed
  • Poor access to individual palletsRail
