Adjustable pallet racking, or APR, is the most popular form of storage for pallets. The system comprises of upright frames and horizontal beams. These are available in a wide range of sizes and loading capacities. The system comprises of single and double runs separated by forklift truck aisles which are sized to suit the customers forklifts.
Generally pallet racking to a height of 6m is relatively inexpensive when it comes to MHE. Every pallet is directly accessible from the forktruck aisle with no specialised MHE required. Aisle widths can vary depending upon which truck type is utilised but a typical reach truck aisle can be 2700mm.
